Today at Computex 2019, AMD officially announced Ryzen 3000 series.

Lisa Su, CEO of AMD, held the event announcing the new set of processors based on the Zen 2 chiplet.

Lisa Su said that the new generation is compatible with the AM4 platform and that there is a 15% IPC improvement over the last gen Ryzen. And, since it's built under their new 7nm process there has been a substantial improvement in the efficiency.

In this set of new processors its worth mentioning the addition of the new flagship Ryzen 9 3900X. This processor will be the first mainstream 12-core processor.

The improvement over the Intel cpus is notable and more importantly, they have more performance at better price.

During the presentation, Lisa Su showed a live comparison in Cinebench R20 between the Ryzen 7 3700X and the Intel i7-9700K. The AMD cpu scored 4806 while the 9700K had 3726 in the R20's multithreaded test. Very impressive results.

The Ryzen 3000 series will be available for buying worldwide on July 7th 2019.
